Courses of Italian language

In cooperation with Italian culture center we organized courses of Italian language for children and grown-ups. Our professors upgrade themselves regularly at their seminars, as well as in the schools for teachers in Italy.

Programs are adapted to the age and knowledge of course takers. The language is learnt according to the most modern textbooks “Expresso” of well known publishing house “Alma Edizioni” from Firence. Textbooks as well as additional material we obtain from Italy.
What is “Expresso”?

“Expresso” is course of Italian language for foreigners, divided into 3 levels. It is based on the most modern methodological principles thanks to which the student is trained to communicate in real situations immediately with ease and assurance. Special attention is paid to the development of communicative abilities which are stimulated by vivid activities, based on the authentic and various situations and on interactive teaching. At the same time, learning of grammar rules is not neglected. On the contrary, through tests and dictations systematization and marking of scheduled matter are done.

So, “Expresso” is intended to the development of all four linguistic skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), as well as to becoming familiar with morphosyntacic structures of Italian language. The textbook is also rich with information from modern Italian life, as well as from rich Italian culture.

Additional material is also used on classes. There is first of all “Practical Grammar of Italian language” from the same publisher, with a lot of exercises, tests and games. Students can also take to their homes books in Italian language to read. Those are works from fiction adapted to different levels of knowledge.

For moments of relaxation there is CD with well known Italian ballads, where we together listen to and translate some of the well known hits of Ramazzotti, Totto Cotugna, and so on.
